Usk Primary School

Usk Church in Wales Primary School was opened in 1985 replacing two town schools and neighbouring small rural schools. The school is situated on the outskirts of the town and it serves an extensive small town/rural catchment. It is a fully maintained co-educational establishment catering for children aged 4 to 11 years old. English is the language of the day to day business of the school, but some Welsh is also used as a language of communication with the aim of improving pupils’ capacity to use everyday Welsh.
At Usk we believe all pupils are equally important and we have high expectations of them. Our children need to feel valued and to know that their contribution is very important. We expect children to work hard and to enjoy life at school. Above all we aim to provide a happy school where children will be cared for sensitively.
The best way to know if our School is the one for your children is by coming and seeing us. We are really proud of our children and all of their achievements and promise you a warm welcome. To be certain there will be someone free to show you around, please call or email to make an appointment.
