New Town Guide Launched

Usk Mayor, Councillor Alec Leathwood together with Councilor Jill Jeremiah formally launched the updated new Town Visitors Guide at the Sessions House this week.  The Mayor congratulated the sub committee for all their hard work and innovative thinking in redesigning a user friendly pocket sized guide which would be distributed across South Wales via Tourist Information Centres, Hotels, well known tourist attractions and Service Stations as well as the local businesses who are advertised in it.

Commenting at the launch, The Mayor said  " I'm delighted at the outcome of this project which has been supported financially by the Town Council and importantly that it has involved local designers and contributors. The distribution to a wide area is an important marketing strategy for Usk and links in well with the New Town web site, Facebook and the soon to be installed Tourist Information boards around the Town.  The timing is excellent given the forthcoming Ryder Cup and its importance to showpiece Usk to the golf fans travelling from all over the world"
