Usk in Bloom awards

Usk again were judged winners in the Wales in Bloom competition, this time receiving the coveted Gold Award in the large village category. The judges were particularly impressed by the way the committee, residents and businesses worked together to create the wonderful flower displays around the town.

At the presentations of local awards, John Evans, Chairman of the Usk in Bloom committee also praised the way that everyone entered into the spirit of the competition. John has now stepped down as Chair, due to relocation, but welcomed the appointment of the new chair, Jeff Mitchell and wished the town continued success in the competition.

Gold, Silver and Bronze Award Certificates that were not collected on Presentation Night, can be collected from the Sessions House  between 9.00am- 12 noon and 1.00pm - 3.00pm any weekday
