Halloween Walk
if you could measure the successof the Halloween walk through the tunnel, by the amount of screams and laughter on Saturday 29th October, it was without doubt a triumph! The Usk Conservation and Environmental Group who along with The Diabolical Drama Group surpassed themselves by providing a brilliant selection of ghouls, witches, monsters and ghosts, the costumes and make up were horribly superb and judging from the reaction of both children and adults were extremely effective.
Graham Harris thanked all who played a part in transforming the tunnel and making the walk a great success he also thanked the local police for ensuring all were kept safe.
Following the walk, it was onto the Royal British Legion for hot dogs, soup and hot drinks. ‘Mr Chips’ and his assistant provided entertainment and children of all ages enjoyed the fun. The Twinning Committee provided the refreshments and Diane Richards steward of RBL along with Glen and Pam Roderick worked extremely hard to ensure that everything went smoothly.
