USK Summer Festival

 now an established part of the town’s calendar, planning has started on a summer event. The Usk Summer Festival 2012 will run form Friday 22nd June to Sunday 1st July inclusive, and will contain a packed programme of events to appeal to all ages and tastes. The event kicks off on the Friday night in true family style as the competitors are launched into the town waters from the old railway bridge in the annual Usk Duck Race, followed by music and entertainment at the Athletic Club. And so starts a ten-day programme of events planned to show off Usk’s cultural heritage, and to have some fun. This years Festival includes the highly successful Open Gardens Weekend, live Music events, the first visit to the Town of John Lawson’s Circus, and lots more to be revealed over the coming months.
