Sport in Usk

Usk is fast becoming one of the premier amatuer sporting venues in South Wales. It hosts Usk Cricket Club that recently celebrated its 150th year anniversary, the multi-trophy winning Usk Tennis Club and a Rugby club that played its first fixture in 1874. Usk is conveniently located for access to many of the best golf courses in South Wales UK, including the Celtic Manor, which is due to host the Ryder Cup in 2010. Usk is a haven for fishermen and has a local gliding club.
